First Nations Planning
Over the last few years there has been an increasing need for First Nations policy and planning. These projects are typically based on informal problem solving processes which use conflict resolution skills to bring community members together in positive and productive environments.
Gillian works with First Nations in British Columbia by assisting the communities to build their own capacity.
Gillian also assists First Nations to provide effective community communication strategies that work for their membership. She often works collaboratively with the communities on projects related to the following:
- governance issues,
- comprehensive planning,
- land use planning,
- treaty preparations, and
- funding applications.
Informal Problem Solving
Gillian provides dispute resolution processes such as informal dialogue, facilitation and mediation. These types processes provide opportunities to build respect and to enhance relationships.
Gillian also has extensive experience in multi-party facilitation including the facilitation of community wide meetings.
